«Young Team» is the debut album by Scottish post-rock band Mogwai, released in 1997 by Jet Set Records on CD.
The album condenses Mogwai's early sound into instrumental pieces that move between atmospheric passages and bursts of noise, with highly contrasting dynamics. The epic, emotive compositions build an urban atmosphere that connects with the cover, featuring a facade with the Fuji Bank sign.
The US CD edition, released by Jet Set Records, consists of a single disc and carries catalogue number twa07cd.
Aimed at post-rock fans who want to discover the roots of Mogwai's sound and its influence on later instrumental rock.
