«A Child's Book of Irish Rhymes» is the collection of Irish nursery rhymes compiled by Alice Taylor and illustrated by Nicola Emoe, in hardcover.
Alice Taylor brings together in this book traditional Irish rhymes that marked her childhood and offers them to today's children and parents to discover and enjoy. Each rhyme is accompanied by a full-color illustration by Nicola Emoe, introducing the youngest to the popular Irish poetic repertoire.
The work was published by Gill & Macmillan Ltd in 1999 and consists of 53 pages, with the text in English.
Aimed at young children and for parents to share Irish rhymes with them, it also serves as an introduction to the culture and oral poetry of Ireland.
