«A modelo descalza» is a young adult crime novel by Jordi Sierra i Fabra, published by Editorial Galaxia in paperback (240 pages, in Galician).
A successful model is found next to the corpse of her current boyfriend, and the police accuse her of murder. Her ex-partner, journalist Jon Boix, investigates on his own a plot that travels from Africa to Spain and exposes the tyranny of the perfect image, human trafficking, and the dark side of glamour.
The book belongs to the Costa Oeste collection (volume 73) and is translated into Galician by Ramón Nicolás Rodríguez.
Aimed at a young adult audience, it combines police investigation with denunciation of the dark side of the fashion world.
