«A Oração de Jabez» is the Christian spirituality book by Bruce Wilkinson, published by Editora Mundo Cristão in paperback (101 pages, in Portuguese).
Jabez, an almost anonymous man whose name meant 'suffering', uttered a brief prayer with four requests: to be blessed, to see his horizons expanded, to feel God's hand, and to be delivered from evil. Wilkinson presents it as a model of faith that turns an anonymous life into an illustrious example.
The edition, subtitled «Alcançando a Bênção de Deus», belongs to the Série Novos Horizontes. It translates The Prayer of Jabez: Breaking Through to the Blessed Life, a work that received the Christian Book of the Year in 2001.
For readers of Christian spirituality who want to deepen prayer as an experience of faith and personal transformation.
Bruce Wilkinson is an American Christian preacher, speaker and writer best known for his book The Prayer of Jabez. He also founded Walk Thru the Bible, an evangelical Christian educational organization, with Howard Hendricks, as well as Teach Every Nation, an Evangelical parachurch organization.
