«Això és llarg de contar» is the contemporary novel by Josep Franco, published by Edicions Bromera in paperback (224 pages, in Catalan).
A woman who begins to lose her memory reviews, in a long conversation with her son, a life shaped by the twentieth century: wars, victories, defeats, hopes, loves and betrayals. Her story, told with ironic lucidity, vindicates the power of words and pays homage to women and to language as the identity of a people.
Published in 2004, it is part of the L'Eclèctica collection (no. 110).
For readers aged 16 and over looking for a contemporary novel about memory, identity and the role of language.
