«Angelo» is the novel by Luchino Visconti published by Ediciones B in the Tiempos Modernos collection, in hardcover, with 188 pages in Spanish.
Angelo returns home after two months in a hospital, still convalescent. His gaze discovers in the streets, courtyards and houses of childhood a hostile adult world that threatens him. The hoarseness of a voice, the smell of a body, the sensuality of a forbidden gesture draw the solitude of a young man subjected to a vulgar reality.
Translation by José Ramón Monreal, prologue by Terenci Moix. Early work by Luchino Visconti, dated 1937.
