Ànimes precioses es el quinto poemario de Antoni Canu. Nacido en la población logudoresa de Ocier (Otieri en sardo) en 1929, llegó a la edad de diez años a Alguer, donde hizo suya la lengua del país de adopción. Este libro incluye, en primer lugar, los últimos poemas de Canu, así como una breve selección de poemas publicados anteriormente que han sido revisados, siempre en la versión original en catalán de Alguer; en segundo lugar, la «otra banda», la adaptación ―no literal, sino literaria― al italiano, hecha por el mismo autor con la intención de llegar a los lectores de esta lengua hermana.
