«Antes de los dieciocho» is the short story anthology by AA. VV. selected by Mercedes Chozas, published by Austral in paperback (256 pages, in Spanish).
Stories featuring characters under eighteen who are beginning to sense life: love, disillusionment, imagination, boredom, the future, and death. Mercedes Chozas selects Cortázar, Moravia, Baroja, and Chéjov, among other great storytellers, to portray childhood and the transition to adulthood.
This anthology belongs to Austral's Contemporánea collection, within its Narrativa series. Published in Barcelona in 2015.
Aimed at young and adult readers: teenagers may recognize themselves in these characters, and older readers can rediscover the gaze of childhood.
