«Apología de Venus» is the novel by Julio Castedo, published by Efecto Violeta in paperback (168 pages, in Spanish).
A loving and lucid woman, after a long marriage, feels dissatisfied with her husband's promiscuous sexuality: wife-swapping and petty-bourgeois orgies seem to her a betrayal of love. In the summer of her biography she decides to change, and from a passive and complacent woman she becomes a heroine condemned to the vertigo of solitude.
The book belongs to the Narrativa Collection of Efecto Violeta, was published in 2008 and its ISBN-10 is 8493561347.
For readers of contemporary fiction interested in stories about desire, marriage and female emancipation.
