«Aria Tome 1: La Fugue D'Aria» is the fantasy and adventure comic by Michel Weyland, published by Les Editions du Lombard in paperback (46 pages, in French).
In a world reminiscent of the Middle Ages where magic and sorcery are real, Aria travels alone to confront injustice. Her free spirit and sense of honor clash with a male-dominated society where women cannot carry a sword or ride a horse. The adventure combines humor, action and tenderness.
First volume of the Aria comic series. The story was originally published in 1982; this edition is from 1994.
For readers of European adventure and fantasy comics who value strong-willed female protagonists.
Michel Weyland is a Belgian artist, writer and cartoonist.
