Synopsis of Asterix and the Magic Carpet
En la trigésima aventura de Asterix, Asterix, Obelix, Ideafix y Cacofonix se embarcan desde la Galia para rescatar a la princesa Lemonade, que se encuentra en peligro de muerte. Con su mezcla habitual de bravuconería e imprudencia, los galos causan estragos allá donde van, pero al final del día salen triunfantes. En esta ocasión, la pequeña aldea donde viven Asterix y Obelix tiene un inconveniente: su bardo es el peor músico del mundo antiguo. Cada vez que Asurancetúrix empieza a tocar una melodía, su canto hace que el sol se esconda tras las nubes y que caiga la lluvia. Sin embargo, a veces ese "talento" puede ser muy útil. El momento de gloria de Asurancetúrix llega cuando un faquir vuela en una alfombra mágica pidiendo ayuda. Parece ser que su reino está sufriendo una terrible sequía y sólo el sacrificio de su princesa, Orinjade, puede acabar con ella. René Goscinny
René Goscinny was a French comic editor and writer, who created the Asterix comic book series with illustrator Albert Uderzo. Born in France to a Jewish family from Poland, he spent his childhood in Argentina where he attended French schools and later lived in the United States for a short period of time. There he met Belgian cartoonist Morris. After his return to France, they collaborated for more than 20 years on the comic series Lucky Luke.
