The Romans of Laudanum announce in the Gallic village that Caesar considers the Belgians the bravest people in Gaul. To defend the honor of his own, Abraracourcix sets off with Astérix and Obélix into Belgian territory, where the encounter with a tribe as proud as they are ends in amusing challenges and misunderstandings typical of the series' spirit.
Album number 24 in the Astérix series, written by René Goscinny and drawn by Albert Uderzo; the original work was published in 1979.
