«Ate Debekatua» is a children's story by Patxi Ezkiaga and Miguel Berzosa, published by Erein in 1989, in paperback and in Basque.
In a corner of Arabia, a young man named Hakim, accustomed to a life of luxury and parties, ruins his fortune and must sell camels, sheep, goats and horses. With no money, he goes to the market looking for work, but no one notices him; as he is about to leave, an old man dressed in rich fabrics and a silk scarf approaches slowly.
The original Erein edition came out on March 9, 1989 and the book is heavily illustrated with drawings.
For young readers looking for illustrated stories in Basque.
