«Aunque diga fresas» is the realistic young adult novel by Andrea Ferrari, published by Ediciones SM in paperback (228 pages, in Spanish).
When Ayelén, an Argentine teenager newly arrived in Spain, joins her new class, she discovers that two classmates, one from Madrid and one from Colombia, have planned to swap their lives. What seems like an innocent game ends up becoming dangerous; the novel realistically shows the difficulties of immigration, integration, and coexistence between cultures.
Published in March 2008, it is the second title in the «Los libros de…» collection from Ediciones SM.
Recommended for young readers aged 13 and up, especially those interested in realistic stories about immigration, racism, and intercultural coexistence.
