«Berts gesammelte Katastrophen» is the humorous young adult novel by Anders Jacobsson and Sören Olsson, published by Oetinger in hardcover (126 pages, in German).
Bert thinks his name sounds like half of a duck from Entenhausen, so in his diary he calls himself Treb. Although writing a diary may seem like a girl thing, Bert finds it useful because he falls in love often. Bert's latest love is Nadja, black-eyed and a violinist, whose laugh electrifies him; Nadja has three older brothers.
This work is the first volume of the Bert series. The original work, «Berts dagbok», was published in 1987. The German translation is by Anna-Liese Kornitzky.
Recommended for readers aged 10 and up, especially for those who enjoy humorous stories about friendship and first love.
