«Bisa Bea, Bisa Bel» is the children's and young adult novel by Ana María Machado, published by Noguer y Caralt Editores in paperback (107 pages, in Spanish).
Isabel finds an old photograph of her great-grandmother Beatriz, Bea, when she was approximately the same age. Fascinated by the portrait, she takes it to school to show her friends, and little by little she strikes up an imaginary dialogue with it that connects two generations and two very different worlds.
The book belongs to Noguer's Mundo Mágico collection (number 57) and the cover bears the IBBY Honour List badge.
Aimed at children and young readers aged 9 to 12, with an interest in stories about family and the passage of time.
