«Breixo» is a contemporary fiction novel by Alfredo Conde, published by Alfaguara in paperback (200 pages, in Spanish).
Breixo is a man who dreams of worlds that never existed, knowing they are products of his imagination, for the pleasure that daydreaming gives him. Over time, those fantasies seem as real to him as his stay in New York or the love of his life, in a narrative that explores the boundary between the real and the dreamed.
The novel was published in 1987 in the Alfaguara Hispánica collection. Breixo is the Galician name equivalent to the Castilian Verísimo.
A read for those seeking contemporary fiction in Spanish with a blurred boundary between reality and daydreaming.
Alfredo Conde Cid is a Galician writer and politician, who has published in both Galician and Spanish.
