«Canterbury Tales» is the juvenile adaptation of Geoffrey Chaucer's classic by Sarah Courtauld, Abigail Wheatley and Susanna Davidson, in paperback.
A group of pilgrims of very different backgrounds heads to Canterbury and, to liven up the journey, takes part in a storytelling contest. The adaptation shortens and simplifies Chaucer's work while keeping the spirit of the original tales, with knights, ladies, clerics and peasants as narrators.
Part of the Usborne Classics Retold collection; English edition of 160 pages published by Usborne Publishing Ltd in 2008 with color illustrations.
For readers aged 8 and up looking for a first approach to the classics.
