«Cántico» is the poetry collection by Jorge Guillén, published by Planeta Pub Corp in paperback (546 pages, in Spanish).
Cántico is Jorge Guillén's great poetry collection, one of the central voices of the Generation of '27. His verses, close to pure poetry, celebrate life, light and the order of the world from an intellectual and sensory perspective; a work conceived as a song of exaltation and wonder before reality, far from doubt and discouragement.
Cántico went from 75 poems in the 1928 edition to 270 in the version considered definitive in 1950. This edition belongs to the Biblioteca de Bolsillo collection.
Aimed at readers of Spanish poetry and those approaching the Generation of '27.
Jorge Guillén Álvarez was a Spanish poet, a member of the Generation of '27, a university teacher, a scholar and a literary critic.
