«Carla. Aprèn les hores» is the children's story by José Luis Ágreda, published by Estrella Polar in hardcover (10 pages, in Catalan).
Carla is very nervous because her grandparents are returning from a trip and she doesn't know what gift they will bring her: a beautiful watch so she can learn to tell time. The story reviews the most important moments of the day and includes at the end a practical guide to reading the time. The illustrations show the protagonist with her blue dog and a large clock.
It is part of the «Carla» collection, the author's first children's series, commissioned by Timun Mas. Catalan edition with subtitle «Amb una guia per llegir les hores!». Translation by Mariona Barrera Aguilera.
Recommended for children aged 5 to 7 who are beginning to familiarize themselves with the clock and daily routines.
