«Carpe diem» is the novel by Bruno Francés, published by Algaida Editores in hardcover (210 pages, in Spanish).
Martín, newly graduated in law, devises with his friends a game whose goal is suicide. One of its rules triggers a murder that envelops the protagonists, and its resolution is more dangerous than the reason for the meeting. Revenge, courage and cowardice mix in a plot against the established order and the oppressive society.
With the subtitle «Una historia de venganza, valor y cobardía», it is part of the Algaida Literaria collection and won the Premio Ateneo Joven de Sevilla 1996.
For readers of Spanish fiction looking for a story of suspense, revenge and social criticism.
