«Carta blanca» is the historical novel by Lorenzo Silva, published by Booket in paperback (352 pages, in Spanish).
The narrative follows Juan Faura from his time as a disillusioned young legionary in the Moroccan war to his participation in the Spanish Civil War, already a skeptical man. The plot combines the portrait of a turbulent era with a story of passion and heartbreak that leads to a campaign in which he barely expects to survive.
Carta blanca won the Premio Primavera de Novela 2004, appeared in April 2005 and belongs to Booket's Novela collection.
For readers of historical fiction and Spanish narrative, especially those interested in the Civil War and the Moroccan war.
Lorenzo Manuel Silva Amador is a Spanish award-winning writer. After earning a law degree at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid, he worked as a lawyer from 1992 to 2002.
