«Cartes des del front» is a historical nonfiction book by Eloi Vila Escarré, published by Ara Llibres in hardcover (228 pages, in Catalan).
The book brings together twenty letters and diaries written during the Civil War to portray the everyday life of Catalans at the front. These voices show stories of love, longing, ideals, camaraderie, suffering and hope. The work is a collective project born from a call spread by the magazine Sàpiens and the newspaper ARA.
Work from the Sèrie H collection, in its first edition, published in Barcelona in 2012.
Aimed at readers interested in the Civil War, correspondence and historical memory; recommended by the Servei de Biblioteques.
