«Chien Pourri et la poubelle à remonter le temps» is an illustrated children's book by Colas Gutman (L'École des Loisirs, paperback, 82 pages, in French).
Chien Pourri and his friend Chaplapla stroll through the neighborhood visiting trash bins when they find a garbage can with a sign announcing time travel. If they say the magic word, Chaplapla goes back to the past and maybe discovers whether he is still as flat and Chien Pourri as smelly as ever.
It belongs to the Chien Pourri series, published in the Mouche collection of L'École des Loisirs, with illustrations by Marc Boutavant.
A suitable read for children aged 6 to 9: a short story, with humor and animal characters.
