«Contes per a nens perfectes» is a children's storybook by Florence Parry Heide, published by Blackie Books in hardcover (112 pages, in Catalan).
Eight stories show exemplary children who, on closer inspection, are not so much: Ruby seems trustworthy, Arthur only half obeys, Harry claims to eat all his carrots, and Glòria tries to help her mother. With biting irony, the book suggests that being perfect and meeting adults' expectations can be rather boring.
Part of the Ossets collection from Blackie Books. Catalan edition with illustrations by Sergio Ruzzier; recommended reading from age 7.
Recommended for boys and girls aged 7 and up, especially for those who read in Catalan and seek short stories with a touch of irony.
Florence Parry Heide was an author of children's books in the United States.
