«Contes pervers» is the collection of erotic stories by Régine Deforges, published by Fayard in paperback (217 pages, in French).
The stories in the book combine the roguish and the mystical, the tragic and the comic, with settings ranging from Hong Kong to Paris, from Athens to the Antilles, with stops in Italy and the Black Forest. Régine Deforges was one of the few women who wrote erotic fiction, and in these tales sensuality is shown free and uninhibited.
The work was originally published in 1980; this paperback edition appeared in 1982.
For readers of erotic fiction who appreciate a female perspective and cosmopolitan settings.
Régine Deforges was a French author, editor, director, and playwright. Her book La Bicyclette bleue was the most popular book in France in 2000 and it was known by some to be offensive and to others for its plagiarism, neither of which was proved.
