«Contra vosotros» is the novel by writer Mercedes Soriano, published by Alfaguara in paperback (247 pages, in Spanish).
In the first part, seven characters (Memoria, Relevo, Control, Completa, Hallazgo, Pasión and Desertor) introduce themselves; in the second, Nadie, a faceless figure, delivers a speech against the ideological poverty of those who fought Francoism. The work reflects on memory, identity and the moral ambiguity of the Transition.
Novel originally published in 1991; this July 1998 edition belongs to the Alfaguara Hispánica collection.
Work aimed at the general public, especially those seeking a critical view of Transition-era Spain.
