«Crònica de Cissa» is the young adult novel by Roland Sierra Farreras, published by Edicions del Bullent in paperback (208 pages, in Catalan).
The narrator is Sèneca, a cat with a solid philosophical background who was not always a cat; with irony and a certain skepticism, he tells his own story and that of the small Mediterranean village of Cissa at the turn of the last century, as well as the singular characters who inhabited it.
The book is number 13 in the Esplai collection. It was awarded the 16th Enric Valor Prize for young adult fiction in 1996.
The book is intended for readers aged 12 and up; it offers an animal narrative voice and the portrait of a Mediterranean village.
