«Cuartetas persas» is the poetry collection by Persian poet Omar Khayyam, published by Plataforma Editorial in paperback (144 pages, in Spanish).
Khayyam's quatrains or rubaiyat, a Persian poet of the 11th and 12th centuries, reached the West through Edward Fitzgerald's translation, whose preface is recovered. They can be read as an extended poem, as aphorisms on life, morality, and mortality, or as thoughts for each day; the edition adds 59 quatrains attributed to Baba Tahir Uryan.
Translation by Carlos Pujol Jaumandreu. First edition published in 2015 by Plataforma Editorial in Barcelona.
For poetry readers and those seeking an introduction to medieval Persian lyric poetry.
