«Los fugitivos» is the spy novel by Carlos Pujol Jaumandreu, published by Menoscuarto in paperback (160 pages, in Spanish).
In 1943, with Rome bombed and Mussolini's regime in decline, Captain Agustín López Beruzzi receives an assignment in Madrid to travel to Italy as a secret agent to escape James Bond. The novel is a spy farce with singular characters that contrasts culture, humor and skepticism with war and totalitarianism.
First edition of 2011, in the Cuadrante Nueve collection from Menoscuarto (number 17).
It will appeal to fans of spy fiction with an ironic tone and to readers of fiction set during the Second World War.
