El viaje de un nihilista

Synopsis of El viaje de un nihilista

«El viaje de un nihilista» is the hybrid novel by Julio Baquero Cruz, published by Menoscuarto Ediciones in paperback (200 pages, in Spanish).

With the intention of leaving a lost love behind, the narrator and protagonist embarks on a melancholy journey through central and eastern Europe, following the Danube towards Istanbul. The landscapes and people he encounters do not ease his loss but rather accentuate the absurd, and the outward journey becomes an inward search for meaning.

It is the ninth volume in the Cuadrante 9 collection, published by Menoscuarto Ediciones in 2009.

For readers of contemporary Spanish-language fiction interested in travel narratives with an introspective and melancholy tone.
