Cuentos cruentos is a collection of short stories by the author Dino Lanti, which modernize traditional fables and children's stories to address current issues with a critical and humorous vision. The characters in these stories do not have happy lives: the seven dwarfs are unemployed, the three little pigs cannot find a good home, and Cinderella is obese and cannot fit into glass slippers. In addition, other discontented characters are included, such as a panda bear who refuses to reproduce in captivity and a dog with an artistic vocation who signs his works as Van Dog. The book features illustrations by Pere Ginard.
