«Cuentos navideños políticamente correctos» is the satirical short-story collection by James Finn Garner in paperback, from Circe Ediciones (158 pp., Spanish).
James Finn Garner rewrites Christmas tales with irony to make them «politically correct»: he removes the sexist, classist and folkloric values he attributes to the classic stories, and gives a dignified role to characters such as children and pets. The result revives the Christmas spirit from a satirical perspective.
Third volume in the «Cuentos políticamente correctos» series. Original work in English: Politically Correct Holiday Stories, published in 1995; the Spanish edition, in 1997.
Ideal for readers who enjoy satire and critical re-readings of classic Christmas tales.
