«Politically Correct Bedtime Stories» is a book of satirical tales by James Finn Garner, published by Souvenir Press in hardcover (89 pages, in English).
Satire of classic tales such as Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, The Three Little Pigs, Cinderella or Jack and the Beanstalk. Garner rewrites these stories, stripping them of all supposed bias until political correctness becomes absurd, with characters who turn into vindictive and contemporary archetypes. A humorous version of traditional stories that ironizes both the original tales and modern sensitivity.
This title, originally published in 1994, is the first volume in the Politically Correct Bedtime Stories series.
Aimed at readers looking for satirical humor and an ironic take on fairy tales and political correctness.
