Diary of a Good Neighbour is a novel that explores the relationship between two very different women: Janna, a mature and professional woman, and Maudie, an old woman who has lived a life of sacrifices. Despite their differences, both women find a common bond in their need for tenderness and human connection. Doris Lessing, with her characteristic style, presents us with a moving story about friendship and the complexity of human relationships.
