«Dins el darrer blau» is the historical novel by Carme Riera, published by labutxaca in paperback (336 pages, in Catalan).
In seventeenth-century Mallorca, Carme Riera interweaves three worlds: the wealthy and the servants of the Inquisition, the common people of peasants, artisans and bandits, and the crypto-Jews and conversos who long for freedom. The novel follows the flight of a group of conversos and turns it into a tale about intolerance and human dignity.
Novel originally published in 1994, winner of the Josep Pla Prize and the National Narrative Prize, among others. This Catalan edition has been revised by the author.
