«Dirrrty Boys» is the play by Gerard Guix, published by Galés Edicions in paperback (122 pages, in Catalan).
The play starts from the kidnapping and murder of a two-year-old boy in Liverpool in 1993, and the trial of the two ten-year-olds who committed it. Gerard Guix investigates its consequences, considers what the perpetrators' lives might have been like up to now, and reflects on second chances.
It belongs to the Zona d'emergència collection and was awarded the Butaca Prize for best text and best small-format production at the 29th edition of the Butaca Awards of the Theatre of Catalonia.
The play is recommended for readers aged 16 and over, especially for those seeking contemporary theatre that starts from a real event.
