«Dones» is Isabel-Clara Simó's collection of short stories, published by Columna in hardcover (179 pages, in Catalan).
Dones brings together stories that present a gallery of diverse women: tender and surly, passive and aggressive, strong and weak, victims and victimizers. The author argues that each woman is an individual, not a species, and with that gaze explores the plurality of the female experience.
Dones was published in 1997 in Columna's «Col·lecció clàssica» collection and includes illustrations by Núria Pompeia.
Dones is a work for readers of Catalan literature interested in narratives that explore the plurality of the female experience.
Isabel-Clara Simó i Monllor was a Spanish journalist and writer. She is considered one of the most important writers in the Catalan language.
