«Donne informate sui fatti» is the mystery novel by Carlo Fruttero, published by Mondadori in hardcover (196 pages, in Italian).
Eight women have each seen or heard a fragment of the events related to a murder. Their voices follow one another, intertwine and contradict each other around the corpse of a mysterious young woman, Milena, while the police investigation clears up the how but not the why: perhaps a settling of scores, a revenge or something murkier and more unsuspected.
The work bears the subtitle «romanzo» and is part of the Scrittori italiani e stranieri collection by Mondadori. Italian edition published on September 26, 2006.
Recommended for readers of mystery novels who appreciate choral narratives and shifts in perspective.
Carlo Fruttero was an Italian writer, journalist, translator and editor of anthologies.
