«Dublinesca» is the literary novel by Enrique Vila-Matas, published by Seix Barral in paperback (328 pages, in Spanish).
Samuel Riba, a retired publisher, travels to Dublin with friends for Bloomsday, the celebration of James Joyce's Ulysses. A dream, distrust of the digital age, and the desire to bid farewell to the era of print drive the protagonist. The work combines fog, humor, apparitions, literary obsessions, and a reflection on the end of an era.
First published in 2010, it is part of the Biblioteca Breve collection from Seix Barral.
A novel for readers of contemporary fiction interested in stories about books, James Joyce, and the publishing world.
Enrique Vila-Matas is a Spanish writer.
