«El anillo de Simplicio» is the children's story by Bernardo Monterde, illustrated by Francisco Meléndez, published by Montena in hardcover (32 pages).
The story is hinted at on the cover: a big-headed character in red clothing lies fallen while two caricatured figures, one with a hat and tartan scarf and the other with a cap and cane, seem to react to the scene; a blue bird flutters nearby. The visual tone combines humor and detail, with illustrations accompanying the narrative.
First edition of the «Cuentos del Pastor» collection, published by Montena in 1989. Text in Spanish.
Suitable for children and young readers, especially those starting to read with illustrated stories.
