«El arca de Noemí» is the children's book by Javier Olivares, published by Grupo Anaya Publicaciones Generales in paperback (64 pages, in Spanish).
Noemí is left alone at home doing her homework while her grandmother Dolorcita opens a sculpture exhibition. When nap time comes, a flood fills the house with water from the bathtub. The girl, who is very afraid of water, will have to rely on her friends and her wits to turn off the tap and overcome that fear.
Volume 91 of the El Duende Verde collection, from Anaya's Children's Literature line (ages 6-11). Illustrated edition published in 2001.
Recommended for children aged 6 to 8, especially as a starting point for talking about the fear of water.
