«El Cantar de Mio Cid» is the children's adaptation of the medieval Spanish classic by Ramón García Domínguez, in paperback (Anaya, 64 pages).
Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, el Cid Campeador, is a warrior loyal to King Alfonso VI of Castile; this adaptation narrates his life and adventures, including his exile and the weddings of his daughters, in words close to those of a minstrel.
Adapted version of the original epic poem, written in 1207; belongs to Anaya's Mi Primer Libro collection and includes illustrations by Max.
Aimed at young readers aged 8 to 10 approaching the medieval classics of Spanish literature for the first time.
