«El cargol i l'herba de poniol» is the traditional children's tale by Anònim, published by CRUÏLLA in paperback (16 pages, in Catalan).
A snail wants to make pennyroyal soup to soothe his stomach ache, but he cannot pull up the herb. He asks a beetle, a frog, a squirrel, a rabbit and an ox for help, and they join in a chain until they get the remedy. It is an adaptation of a traditional tale, and the edition reproduces its plot at the end of the book.
It is part of the «Vull llegir!» collection, with illustrations by Marie Nigot; the text combines cursive and capital letters.
Recommended for children aged 3 to 5, especially for those starting to read; the cumulative rhythm and the drawings make it easy to follow the story.
