There they discover that the tadpoles in the ponds turn into frogs and that some are enchanted princes. Kristoffer kisses a frog and it reveals itself as Carolus Rex, the prince of the frog castle, who gratefully invites them to visit it, although nothing and no one in that place is what it seems.
