«El chico de al lado» is the romantic novel by Josie Lloyd and Emlyn Rees, published by Salamandra in 2006, in paperback (282 pages, in Spanish).
Fifteen years after a past relationship, Fred and Mickey cross paths by chance in a toy store. He, a marketing executive, is about to get married; she has set up a flower shop and lives with her nine-year-old son. The encounter reopens the questions they left unanswered: why the correspondence stopped and whether that love still haunts them.
The novel belongs to Salamandra's Narrativa actual collection and is a translation by Luis Murillo Fort of the original The Boy Next Door.
Aimed at readers of contemporary romantic novels and stories of reunions and second chances.
