«El cortesano y su fantasma» is the novel by Xavier Rubert de Ventós, published by Destino Áncora y Delfín in paperback (260 pages, in Spanish).
A professional philosopher wins a seat in Parliament and finds that real politics is far from the theories he has studied for most of his life. His alter ego, a ghost, accompanies him in reflecting on the mismatch between what he has learned and what he has lived, in an ironic narrative about power and society.
