«El cuerno de Maltea» is the children's and young adult novel by José Antonio Ramírez Lozano, published by Algaida Editores in paperback (144 pages, in Spanish).
Lulino and the goat Maltea roam the rooftops of Seville, leaping from terrace to terrace; from those heights, the nostalgia for the village and the memory of the countryside fade, and the city becomes more bearable. One day, the blast of a shotgun breaks the routine and triggers a turn in the story. It is an imaginative and tender tale.
This work won the Jaén Prize for Children's and Young Adult Narrative. It was recognized by the Banco del Libro of Venezuela and selected for the 1999 White Ravens list. Algaida Literaria Calembé collection.
Aimed at young readers and those seeking children's and young adult fiction with science fiction elements.
