«El dentista es un monstruo» is the children's story by Philip Stanton, published by EDICIONES SM in hardcover (48 pages, in Spanish).
The cat Misha has a toothache and hides her discomfort from her parents because she is afraid of going to the dentist. When the tooth falls out, she has no choice but to visit the rabbit doctor's office, where she discovers there is nothing to fear. Misha learns good eating habits to look after her mouth and, although she had lost the fallen tooth, she leaves the clinic with a new tooth for the Tooth Fairy.
It belongs to the «La gata Misha» series within the Barco de Vapor Blanca collection; Philip Stanton writes the text and the illustrations.
For children aged 5 to 8 who are starting to read and for whom a visit to the dentist can be unsettling.
