«El desván, memorias del hijo de un terrateniente chino» is the memoir of Guanlong Cao, published by Ediciones Turpial in hardcover (248 pages, in Spanish).

Guanlong Cao, born in Jiangxi in 1945, grew up in Shanghai during the Cultural Revolution. With humor and courage, he recalls his family's adaptation to a hostile environment, amid material hardship and political repression, through everyday scenes such as bathing, the market, school, food, or the neighborhood policeman.
